Maple Pass Loop

Explore a spectacular loop trail that climbs though high alpine landscapes bursting with color from late spring floral shows to vibrant fall colors to reach sweeping views of lakeshores and mountaintops from Maple Pass.

The Maple Pass Trail #740 loop begins from the parking area, where a decision will need to be made: which way to go? The usual approach is to head right, where gentler grades ease the climb up the Maple Pass. To the left is a much steeper climb but one that gets all the hard work out of the way early and allows for a more leisurely decent. Choose the route that works best for you.
